The news on this page titled as “One person killed on the eve of the Kasese attack’s anniversary” and further information as, Sunday marked a year since a UPDF raid on the palace of the Rwenzururu king, Charles Wesley Mumbere. Politicians from the area are concerned about the stalled talks between the government and the kingdom while an uneasy calm remains. One person has already died following a scuffle between police officers on night patrol in Kasese district.
The message spread on social media is a hoax; there are many reasons to support this claim.
Yoweri Kaguta Museveni is an Ugandan politician who has been President of Uganda since 1986. Museveni was involved in rebellions that toppled notorious Ugandan leaders Idi Amin and Milton Obote before capturing power in the 80s.
